Zona Maco 2026

4 - 8 February 2026
Overview
BOOTH A102

For the 2026 edition of Zona Maco, DOBRA* presents a selection that explores the intersections between art and design in 20th-century Latin America, conceived as a unified spatial composition. At its core are works by Abraham Palatnik, Celso Renato, Jacques Douchez, and Norberto Nicola, in dialogue with the ceramic sculptures of Julia Isidrez and the paintings of Maria Auxiliadora, creating a balance between constructive rigor, material presence, and lived experience.

The historical furniture by Joaquim Tenreiro, Jorge Zalszupin, José Zanine Caldas, Carlo Hauner & Martin Eisler, Oscar Niemeyer, and Sergio Rodrigues functions as the architectural structure of the booth, reinforcing design as a cultural language rather than merely a functional one. Within the new FORMA sector, DOBRA* affirms its identity as a hybrid gallery, where art and design operate as complementary forces in the construction of a plural and contemporary modernity.
